APD to conduct “No Refusal” this 4th of July Weekend!

Austin police are reminding drivers that the department’s “No Refusal” policy is in effect beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday evening.
That means if you’re suspected of drunk driving and refuse a breath test, officers will obtain a search warrant and force you to get a blood test.
APD will have a special bus parked at 15th Street and Colorado where technicians will perform those tests.
The “No Refusal” period continues through 5 a.m. Sunday.
