11 DWI arrests overnight, 3 search warrants executed

EL PASO – The blood draw operation executed overnight by El Paso police resulted in 11 DWI-related arrests, according to a police news release.
Of the 11 arrested, seven provided a specimen of their breath, one provided a voluntary blood sample, and search warrants were provided for three others, said police.
The blood draw operation has been executed 13 nights since Dec. 21, 2007. During the hours of the operation, 108 DWI arrests have been made. Search warrants for blood were obtained for 39 or 36 percent of those, said police.
